o
MF - Metal Film use nickel-chromium or a similar
alloy deposited on a ceramic rod by a vacuum
process of evaporation or sputtering.
o
The final resistance value is (most commonly)
defined by cutting an insulating path through
the film along the length of the rod while
keeping it in rotation.
o
The technology is capable of supporting accuracy
characteristics over a broad resistance range.
o
Types include axial through-hole and metal film
fusible for special purpose.
